Objectives
To develop students’ positive thinking skills, overcome difficulties and face challenges so as to lead to a perfect life




Strategies / Tasks

Introduce a relationship quote every week. Read aloud and explain it to students.

Write a Thank-you card on English Day.



 
Advocate Self-learning

 

Objectives
2.1 To enhance students’ learning motivation and to cultivate students’ self-learning habits and reflective ability
2.2 Strengthen thinking skills and self-learning ability
2.3 To cater for students’ learning diversity


Strategies / Tasks

  • Use e-learning platform (e.g. eClass, STAR, HKEdcity, Google tools etc)
  • Use e-Learning tools like Apps, Kahoot, Quizlet, Quizizz etc
  • Use PowerLesson 2.0

- 3 tasks of any stage in all levels

- J.5-6 (1 Full version)

  • J.3 students use Scratch in writing in the second term
  • Implement J.1 Cross Curriculum Programme
  • Refine all course work to enhance preparation, self-reflection and extended learning
  • Read 12 e-books under PEEGS to promote the Reading across Curriculum
  • Create a print-rich environment. All forms of students’ work will be displayed for encouragement and compliment
  • Implementation of School Award Scheme
  • At least 2 checklists given for Writing tasks to promote students’ reflective ability on writing skills.
  • 4F strategies (Facts, Feeling, Finding, Future) will be applied in J.5 teaching and learning
  • J.4 Theme-based Learning Project

 

  • J.4 Excursion to Singapore, collaborate with G.S. Department to learn more about STEM education
  • Implementation of ‘6 Steps of Self-Directed Learning’ in J.3-4

 

  • Apply Differentiated Instruction in J.2-3

 

  • Establish a 4S class to help SEN students who need extra help in learning

 

 



 
III. Subject Plan

Objectives
1.To enrich English language learning
2.To improve teachers’ understanding of students’ strengths and abilities across different levels
3.Professional Development


Strategies / Tasks

  • News Commentary by J.5 and J.6 students during morning assemblies once a month and in KS1 classes
  • Each teacher is responsible to make at least one video
  • Games instructed in English for KS1 students after Assessment 1
  • English Speaking Day once a week

(Students talk to Ambassadors and teachers in English. Stickers are given.)

  • Signs / rules / instructions designed by J.1 students displayed at the appropriate locations in the school campus
  • Scriptures and lunch prayers are said on Mondays
  • Different genres will be introduced in the book sharing time
  • Puppetry will be done in ECA time by Mr Stefano, NET
  • Creative Drama will be done in ECA time by Miss Chau
  • Writing ‘Thank-you card’ on English Day, to collaborate with Life Education Department
  • Watch the video clips once per month to arouse their interest in learning English
  • Regular shared reading lessons in J.1 will be held in Language Room
  • Puppetry Group and Creative Drama Group will join a competition
  • Sharing of the Vertical Curriculum Reflection constantly.
  • Teacher training on Shared Reading Strategies by Jeff (A.T.) and NET
